How to maximize Cashback using Discover

Discover is a fabulous credit card and I have been using it for years to get up to 10% regularly on my online purchases. Here’s the process.

Apply for an eligible cashback Discover card
Log onto the ShopDiscover portal
Search for merchants like Groupon which offer 10% cashback
Make the purchase
When you have enough, convert your cashback into Gift Cards which you buy for less than the value of the card (e.g. $40 of Discover Credit for a $50 LL Bean Gift Card)
